Bellevue University and Medical Solutions Partnership Featured in The Midlands Business Journal

June 25, 2021

Liz Hall shared these inspirational student stories with us.

"My experience with Bellevue University has been exceptional. I appreciate how they understand that as an adult learner, school is not my only priority. The program I am currently enrolled in is completely online which gave me the flexibility that I needed. However, Bellevue University also offers on-campus classes for those who prefer classroom interaction. Additionally, each of the professors for my classes had real-life experience with the class subject they teach and can show how what we are learning can be applied in the workplace.

"The partnership between Bellevue University and (then) C&A Industries has been priceless for me - literally! The implementation of the tuition reimbursement matching program allowed me to enroll in my current program. Additionally, I have attended several training classes where Bellevue University presented at my employer's location. Most recently, I remember attending a class shortly after our company was informed about a change in management. This class not only helped me to put the situation in perspective and gave me tools to handle the change, but also allowed me to take what I learned back to my team.

"When I was 21 years old, I was attending a local 4-year college and felt that I had no direction. While I was in school, I was working in the food industry and was offered a management position. I took the position and thought to myself that it would be good to have this break from college and figure out what I really wanted to major in to start my career. I did food industry management for over two years and then I was approached about another position in a sales role for a local staffing company. I found a lot of success in this new role and found myself in a management position loving my job.

"While everything was going great with my current job and I felt I had a career, there was always something missing...and that was a college degree. I had always promised myself and my mother that I was going to graduate college (mind you, at this point I was in my mid to late 30s). My older brother was the only one in my family to ever graduate college and I was not going to let myself or my mother down. I found out that the company I worked for had a partnership with Bellevue University and had created a tuition assistance program to help and encourage people to continue their education.

"I was scared of going back to school as I had a great full-time position, three children that were in select sports, and felt there may not be enough time in a day to achieve my goal. After looking at all the options with Bellevue University: the costs, and the great reviews, etc., I decided to go for it. I spoke with Bellevue University and they were very helpful in letting me know what I needed to complete in order to earn my degree in their accelerated program. This process was seamless due to being available, thorough, and responsive. Most of my classes were online and I would do my school work later at night when my kids were done with their activities. Aside from learning via great material and excellent professors, I learned planning and self-discipline. The next thing you know, I was enjoying learning again and the Bellevue University experience made that happen for me.

"I had two wonderful years with Bellevue University and the next thing you know I graduated - and yes, by the time I was 40! Thanks to Bellevue University, my personal and professional goals were met! I highly recommend the Bellevue University experience to anyone wanting to achieve their personal goal of getting their college degree!"
